Cathedral caves

Get ready for an atmospheric autumn adventure, ladies! 🍂✨ On Thursday, October 8th, our Wandering Women crew is heading off on a stunning walk to the magnificent Cathedral Caves! Starting from Skelwith Bridge, we’ll take a scenic 6.6-mile (10.7 km) return route through wide, flat paths and crisp woodland trails before stepping into the jaw-dropping slate caverns. The total walking time is around 2.5 to 3 hours, leaving plenty of time to explore the underground wonder and soak up all the vibrant seasonal views along the way!

The trip is just £20 per person, setting off from Layton Library at 9:30 AM sharp and leaving for home at 5:30 PM. Please make sure to wear sturdy walking boots for uneven slate flooring, and a torch/flashlight is mandatory so we can navigate the pitch-black 100-metre tunnel into the main cave!
